1972 Plymouth Barracuda

This 72 Cuda is a project car that I took over from a friend of mine. It arrived in my garage as not much more than a painted shell on casters.

Since its arrival in October of 2007, I have installed the suspension, brakes and much of the interior. I have also procured a Tremec/Keisler 5 speed, and built an 10:1 iron head 440 to go in it.
I had visions of finishing this car, but with a growing family, and the demands associated with it, I no longer have the time or finances to devote to it. Not a sob story, it’s just the way it is.

Consequently, the car is on the market. This is a great opportunity for someone to get a really neat, easy to finish project at a great price. Here's the run down:
Body work is complete with all rust removed. Paint job excellent, if not show quality. I have front and rear valances for it and an AAR hood. I have a very good 72 grille assembly in need of restoration.
Subframes are tied with welded-in connectors. Radiator support is reinforced across the bottom and it as a six point cage with drop down door bars. Work was performed by a professional race car fabricator and done RIGHT. This sucker is STIFF.

All glass is included, minus the windshield (available through any auto glass retailer).
The car started as a 340 auto column shift, but it is currently set up for a manual. Hump, pedals and Z-bar bracket are installed. I have a Tremec/Keisler 5 speed with hydraulic clutch set-up for it. Just needs a pressure plate, disc and flywheel.

Front suspension is all powder coated. Pretty much a stock set-up, but with offset bushings so it can be lowered.
Rear suspension is stock HD leaf springs, moved inboard for tire clearance. Axle is a back-braced 8 3/4 with 4.10 gears and a powerlok. Axle housing is powder coated.
Brakes are 13" front with PBR/Cobra calipers. Rears are 11" w/ Ford calipers. This is a Dr Diff kit. Stainless steel brake lines are installed. Braided hoses are includes as are master cylinder, distribution block and adjustable proportioning valve. Need an e-brake cable, but that's it in that department.
Wheels are 18" Foose Montereys with BFG rubber. 245-40-18 front and 285-40-18 rear. High dollar stuff.

I have 10:1 iron head 440 for the car that I just finished assembling. H-beam rods. KB flat tops and ported 346 heads. Lunati cam. Ceramic coated Hooker Competition headers. Just needs a set of push rods to finish it off, otherwise complete carb to pan. IT ought to run like a scalded dog.

I have an Afco aluminum radiator with electric fan and shroud. Also have aluminum water pump and housing.
Interior is custom upholstered leather. Front buckets come out of a late model Nissan with lots of adjustments. Rear is a stock bench upholstered to match. Dash has autometer gauges. I have everything needed to finish the interior. It is partially installed, just need to install the side windows and regulators before the door panels can go on. Alpine sound system with four speakers is installed, but still needs an amp.

There is well over 30 grand invested just in parts, and that's a conservative estimate. There are hundreds of labor hours on top of that.

You really need to see all this to appreciate it. Parties with serious interest should contact me for additional info.
I'll let it all go for $25000 OBO.
Rust-free, turn key MOPAR trades considered. I'd like to find a nice 71-72 Road Runner. Must be bucket seat and floor shift. 340, four speed and Air Grabber strongly preferred. Maybe others, including some non-Mopars. No rust. No Chevys. No late model.
