The Mystery Machines new power plant
It was a terrible tragedy. Taken before his time. The 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 only traveled 28,000 miles. The only good to come of it was he had his donor card filled out and signed. Now, The Mystery Machine is about to go under the surgeon's wrenches a third time to get his new power plant. Hopefully this one takes... What will Old Man Smithers do to it before he installs it ... is a mystery ....

This van is a work in progress ..
I have done all the work on it myself with the exception of the paint and windshield. One of my brothers, Tony cut and installed the windshield. Another of my brothers, Tom and I painted it in a 22 hour painting marathon.
The van itself was literally 2 days away from the crusher. The junkyard was cleaning and organizing the area the van was in. It was on the "goes in the crusher" list.

I cannot forget my little buddy. He was just as excited about the van as I was. Always comeing into the garage checking out the progress. Here is a picture of him sitting on my wrist telling me what he thinks I should do next.

The history that I know about this van is that it sat at French Lake Junkyard for approx. 20 years and this parts inventory slip I found above the heater box when I was restoring it.
