Mickey_E's 1967 Morris Mini.Matic

Mickey_E's 1967 Morris Mini Minor

This is my awesome Mini, I love it. It is a Morris Mini Deluxe with an automatic gearbox which is rare these days, most still have the badges but have been converted to manuals. These little baby's can be used as a full automatic or a manual with an automatic clutch. The Mini.Matic’s didn't get a good reputation from the start as the first cars built had to be re-called giving the car bad reputation therefore there are not as many around. This was advertised when it was built as the "his and hers" gearbox as it was good for the women who wanted an auto and still good for the man who wanted a manual.

My mini is the original colour, toga white, and has beige interior. It is in fairly good original condition and that’s the way I want to keep it as these mini's are becoming rare especially in this condition. It has an original owner’s manual that doesn’t match with the car but I don’t mind. It has the original side of car lift jack aswell.

The only thing I have changed so far to my mini is putting a sound system in which can be hardly seen. I went for the stealth look as I don't want to compromise the classic look of the interior. I have a Pioneer head unit under the driver’s seat (can’t be seen at all) which I connect my iPod touch to and use that and the remote to control my music. I have 2 Pioneer 6 by 9’s sitting under the rear seat (no one notices them being there).

(havn’t got around to naming her yet so if anyone has any suggestions feel free to voice your opinion)

Things for the future are:

·          I will be getting two Pioneer 280W six inch 4-way speakers (to match my 6 by 9’s) for the front under my dash somewhere out of sight.

·          I will be installing my amp to my 6 by 9’s sometime in the near future.

·          I want to get rear window white venetian blinds, don’t think I’m going to tint the windows.

·          Might put a white pioneer sticker on the front window but probably not.

Will update very soon.
