Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR

iHere is my new pride and joy, my 05 Mitsubishe Lancer Evolution VIII MR.
I picked this up on trade in on my Celica in January 09, right when 2 weeks of -10 degree, snow & icey weather decided to hit. lol. Truely a rally car though with snow tires on!!

These were from the second night of being an evo owner.
I baught the car with an asortment of parts already installed on it.
It has Swift Sport springs, an adjustable rear sway bar, 2 piece Performance Friction front brake rotors, Goodrich steel braided brake lines, an AMS turbo-back exhaust with high flow cat, AMS intercooler, AMS hot side intercoler pipe, HKS cams, an Exedy stage 1 HD clutch, and a 22psi tune.
Here's a pic from when I brought it home.
Once the weather cleared and Spring had arived i had saved up enough cash to buy a set of Enkei GTC01 18x8.5" wheels with 255/35-18 Dunlop Direza Z1 Starspech tires from Tirerach.
My next investment was an Injen intake kit that I used all but the cold side intercooler pipe since an AMS one was already installed and flows better. I coupled this with an Evo IX blow off valve that will hold a little more pressure and in aluminum instead of brittle plastic that the Evo VIII's and previous have. Then to top off all the new shiny pollished parts I ordered a J.M. Fabrications pollished heat shield as a replacement for the aged and rusting stock one.
...pics upcoming...
Later on it the summer, still on a dress up craze, i ordered up an APR Performance carbon fiber rear diffuser. Here's some of the install and completion. (my fluorescent lights in the garage give it a pink tone to the paint.. =( )

I think it cleans up the stock USDM rear bumper nicely with out dishing out more money for the mods and install for a JDM Evo IX bumper.
After this I had to even out the look with a DuLuck/Ralliart style Seibon carbon fiber front lip. Before and after!

Yeah, I cheeted on that last pic thanks to a dip in the driveway.. but it looks sweet!! Close tolerances too.

My most recant install purchase was a Titec turbo outlet/O2 housing. Sorry I don't have any pics of that install, I wasn't thinking about that at the time. Trust me on the fact that it flows way better than stock! Here's a few (roughly 1/8 mile) fly-by's to prove it.

It was running good but seemed to be running rich, so whn i caught wind that Jester of Jester Tuning was gona be in the areia, I scheduled an apointment. Here's the before.. (297 wph, 308 wlb-ft torque)

..and after.. (325wph, 352 wlb-ft torque)

..all while still running 22psi of boost!

My next investment will be a test pipe and manual boost controler for another 20whp on this tune, followed by a twin disc clutch kit since the single isn't bad, but is giving me shift issues. Not bad though for a bolt on Evo VIII with a stock 16g turbo still.
I was able to attend one autocross event this year with the evo. Since it was the first time out in the car it was more for me to get a good feel for it. I still managed to finish 2nd and was 5 tenths from 1st though!

Here's a few fall/sunset photos I took recently.

More to come...
