boostpowered's 1989 Saab 9000

The sole purpouse of this car is to run in the pikes peak international hillclimb in 2012.

It only get taken out when needed more often than not just for fun.

It is in the process of having everything updated and race prepared.

As you can see my intercooler has a nice k&n stencil on it.

The 16valve 2.0liter turbo engine.tweaked APC

The engine stock had 165hp@5500rpm  195ft.lb torque.

It now has 222hp@5500rpm  267ft.lb torque.

For those that can't do math thats a 57hp increase and 72 ft.lb torque increase.

i have a triumph with mega i hate mega. t3 garretts are good for 350hp. i have had t5 on it.i wasn't impressed.i will not go with t5suite because it is a gm product. and i have had nothing but problems with di cassettes. i have been mapping an epromm for lh2.4.2. my dp/exhaust is 3 inch front to back w no convertor. you must understand that im not looking to make a drag car with incredible ammounts of power.this car must pass inspection for ppihc which wont allow many of the mods you suggested.

you need to T5 or megasquirt that thing.... and get a bigger turbo... 220hp and 270ftlbs..... thats not very competitive.my buddy mikeD had a Ebay T3/t4 150S shipped turbo and had great luck with it. you need a 3 inch exaust and a decent IC too.... Or for less then 2000$ you could go my route, involving a holset, and have a high end monster!
