Hey! My name is Sarah and this is my 1973 Voltswagon THING =) Doesn't look like much but I'm hoping to have it tuned up and getting a lot of things welded, stripped, painted, and adding neons! :-P Ne ideas?

Things are really cool. Personally, I would keep it low key and not get all crazy. I agree with that one guy, please don't put neons on that car. Neons are for riceburners like mine ;) First thing I would do is get rid of the cancer before your frame is toast. Restore that bad boy and I'd be willing to bet you'd do more than decent at shows. Most importantly though, no matter what everyone else says, do what you want man, it's your ride.

OH PLEEEZ NO NEONS!!! Neons would only make your car "stand-out" if half the kids on the planet weren't doing it already! We just bought one (For the wife) a month ago, and she loves it just the way it is... I added some wider white letter tires for grip, fixed her up with some cheap tunes, and we got our eye on a more comfortable set of bucket seats, but that's about it. Get it running good first, steering and stopping good second, looking good is the last thing you need to worry about!

yeah, what 'tk mm2' said. paint it a light brown, then put camofauge patches of dark brown on it. that'd give it an awesome military-jeep feel! oh yeah!
