When we first got this car, it was a rust bucket! just a body, no engine, half a tranny, and harldy any interior was left. we found a working engine in a dump yard so we halled it out, re bored it, port and polished it, the works! we couldnt tell what the origanal color was so we painted it silver, they were not ever stock with silver paint! we became lazy and dicided not to put a muffler on it, even though it has a small motor it still sounds like a harly...

Gorgeous MGB. You must be proud as hell after putting it all right again! Incidentially, they DID sell the MGB in silver. The color was called "platinum", and although it was available over a number of years, it's rare and is usually seen only on later cars. In fact, I think the last MGB GT ever to come off the assembly line - the one that's currently in the British Motoring Heritage museum - is platinum. Enjoy it amigo!

Gorgeous ride! But I don't think it's a '69. I'm pretty sure the split rear bumper dates it to 1970. Another giveaway is the rubber-faced overriders (although I think they would fit on any chrome bumper B).

That is an amazing restore job you did and the car itself is quite unique. I hope you keep it clean and nice like that, great work.
