Im back!! changed my mind yet again on the setup, new B&M shift kit and perhaps not yet purchased, 2800 stall converter. Not an Ls1. Sorry ls1 fans. yet again my engine threw a rod, so i had it rebuilt with all forged internals, opted this time to go with a two piece summit timing set. I also bought cloyes tru-roller double gear timing set. Kept the eibach springs on front but thinking of removing a coil from front and rear cprings as well as replacing rear shocks to complement the monroe sensa tracs up front. Im reminded of the thought of goin all out but stayin on a budget, i ended up rebuilding yet again the 350 that i found for a bargain, because it threw a rod. Keeping the Pro Action lightning heads with 63cc and 200 runner 2.05/1.6 valves which should end up at 9.7:1 compression with the forged pistons of the new short block. With the cam I chose to upgrade from the grind with 510/520 lift, with 230/236 @ 50 110 lsa. Going with a .525/.545 lift w/ 234/236 dur w/ 108 lsa range should be 2200-6200 with 1.6 rocker arms. Along with the 1.6 roller rockers on 7/16 studs, I'm expecting right around 420-470 horses but with a little rougher idle quality. the 4l60 works great shifts smooth with the Lokar cable I bought but got a b&m shift kit for an even better shift. contemplating a 2600-2800 stall converter havnt decided yet... these were some nice pics of my dad's 78 z28, still beautiful after all these years.
trans am in new garage sporting formula wheels cuz gta tires were better so i put them on the formula. compare and let me know what looks better, next option would be a set of polished ws-6 17x9 wheels or painted in factory gold. if anyone has a set for really cheap... contact me.
as i worked on the car so I kept them..
SIZING UP.. next up, true duals with borla xp mufflers and shorty headers with an x-pipe.
