Final Round...

Well, here is what I am up to right now:

A turbocharged 383LT1 using a Precision T76. I bought AFR210 bare castings and sent them off to Lloyd Elliott in Texas. He did an awesome job with the porting and produced some great flow numbers. The final specs on the heads were 214cc intake runners, 65cc combustion chambers and the follwoing flow numbers:

..............Intake...Exhaust(no pipe)
0.200......143.......103
0.300......204.......141
0.400......247.......173
0.500......281.......198
0.600......308.......219
0.700......311.......227

I have decided to use an Alcohol Injection Kit and OBX Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC). The alcohol is stored in my windshield washer fluid tank where it drains to a pump. The pump then pushes it through a braided line to a nozzle in the Trickflow intake elbow. I went with that elbow instead of using the vortech elbow for 3 reasons:

1. The vortech elbow is split into 2 sections before the TB, which would make it difficult for the alky/air to mix well (as seen in the pics below).

2. It looks nicer.
3. It will be kep the temps down due to its thermal coating.

The intercooler will mount where the bumper support used to be.

Gauge Pod (Boost/Fuel Pressure/Shift Light) - I went with Autometer Z Series Gauges because I like the simple black look. I Bought the Boost Gauge and the Electric Fuel Pressure Gauge. I also mounted the Autometer Shift Light.

HPE is currently building my shortblock as we speak. It is a 383 with Forged Eagle crank, h-beam rods, SRP -31cc pistons with 4 bolt mains and ARP upgrades.

I am starting to mock up my turbo kit. I am using two passenger side 96-97 SLP dual cat headers for the build up.
