I started this page to document my Mustang restoration project. It is a 1968 coupe. It originally came with a 289, auto transmission, power brakes, power steering, and air conditioning.
The final car will look stock on the outside, but with many updated items. It will have a modern engine, with an overdrive transmission, disc brakes, as well as other creature comforts. The goal is to have a car that I can drive anywhere, even if I probably won't.

Here is a teaser to what is in store, more on the engine page!

Here is where it all started, somewhere in the backwoods of Arkansas.

This is my Mustang as I picked it up. It is rough, but pretty straight and non-rusty. Or so I thought... I would probably passed on this car had I known all the issues.

That is a good looking car man! Please keep us up to date on your progress. I am very interested to see how the car turns out. I have a 64 2 door sedan falcon that is my current project. Unfortunately, it's current setup is a 200 w/ a ford-o-matic, but i have been looking to make that space the new home for a modular engine. All of the stuff I have found so far told me that you HAD to go with a front suspension that allows getting rid of the shock towers and yet, there your's is w/ a 4-valve none the less!! I was just wondering what all mods you had to made in order to make it fit. If you could give me some pointers and head me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanks!
