This is my 1980 Corvette. Its was my first Corvette that I bought three years ago when I was a junior in College. When I purchased the Vette it was in very rough shape. The drive shaft was sitting inside the car, it had a cracked bow housing, the headlight brakets were broke, the paint was faded and chipped, and it had sat in a field for well over a year.
My dad and I did most of the work on this car. We repainted it base coat/ clear coat bright red with a white pearl strip down the center of the hood.
The engine is a 350 Crate with a holley high rise intake manifold, 650 CFM Edelbrock Carb, and Hooder Header Side Exhaust. Since I was moving to the bay area of California we also added a 14" electric fan in front of the raditor to keep it running cool in traffic. We had the 4 speed transmission rebuilt to handle all we could throw at it.
I will update with more pictures of the interior and engine. I will also add some "before" pictures to show just how bad this car looked when I purchased it.
