My Old Car
I sold my Ford Probe GT, with all the modification for $4500.
I bought this 1995 Ford Probe GT in Decemeber of 2002, after the headgasket in my Toyota 4Runner blew. The original owner had all the work done by a "Blue Oval" Ford Dealership or a Certified Mazda dealer. I continued to have some work done by the mechanics (timing belt, water pump and belts, and CV Boots).
Work Recently done in the past year or so: new CV Boots (July '03), spark plugs (Jan '03), plug wires (Jan '03), fuel filter (Aug '03), tires (May '03), valve cover gaskets (July '02), timing belt along with water pump and belts (Dec '02), catalytic converter (Nov '03), Brakes [Rotors: front; Pads: front and rear] (Dec '03).
The Probe GT, does very well on the highway. I average around 30 mpg at 60-75 mph. The engine does not burn any oil, clutch still grabs like new, brakes stop the car very quickly, clutch pedal is firm and the shifter moves easy. The paint is still very shiny, (despite the WVU dirt and Coal dust) you can still see a reflection of yourself in the paint.
My best 1/4 Mile time: 15.875 @ 88.12.
