NOTE: due to a forgotten password and many attempts to have it sent to me, the Web-page for "smokedya" is now abandoned. This will be my new web-page from now on. Thanks to all those who took the time to visit me. Now, to recap the reason(s) for this page. I own a 1985 Dodge Charger shelby that looks like this
At first I wanted it to look like this
but being that it is NOT a Rampage, I am not sure at this point if I will be modifying the body shell that extensively. Make no mistake, there will be "Major modifications going on here. and I will attempt to chronicle the whole process. I will be attempting to modify and utilize a 1985 Caddilac frame in order to transplant a chevy v-8 engine and drive-trane. The original page took a pole of 25 visitors and of the 25 visitors 60% are in favor of attempting the transplant. I know those that are MOPAR purists, must be crying in there beer, but being that as it may, I feel compelled to do this conversion on the mear fact that it's never been done yet. :)
Please feel free to sign my guestbook, but if you have any comments, "TRY" to keep them positive. If you have any input as far as modification ideas, I'd be glad to hear them. If your comments are not so positive........well??? then have a beer on me!
Some of the exterior mods will be as follows:
18" wheels wrapped in TOYO rubber
'85 caddy tail lights (horizontal)
Fully air-bagged suspension
boxed caddy frame
custom fuel cell
Targa roof or possibly roofless
Some of the interior mods will be as follows:
power seats,windows,side mirrors,locks
back seats removed
custom dash with HUD display
These are only a small few of the mods that I intend to do in addition to of course transplanting a chevy v-8 under the hood. Over ambitious? maybe....practical? doubtful.......easy on the wallet?....ABSOLUTELY NOT......but.....do'able....definately do'able. That's it for now, hope to get some pix up here of the donor caddy and the "my" actual shelby......thanks for stopping by.
