pjwet's 1991 Jeep Cherokee

Here is my '91 Black Cherokee Laredo.
This first pic is from Jeep Jamboree Big Boulder... this pic was coming out of a HUGE horseshoe of mud, this was near the end.

She's posed in these pics at my parent's house in Maine... I'm hoping to Jamboree there in October. The event is in Bethel, ME. where I had my kit installed by Geaudreaus.

She has a 3.5 inch Rubicon Express Super Ride lift. This kit was supposed to provide 'like stock' feel but clearly any lift kit will alter the ride and feel of your jeep. Can't say I HIGHLY recommend it, but it's done a fine job so far.

I've fit in 31 x 10.5 Yokohama Geolanders and these tires have proven both on and off road.

I installed the tow hooks with a friend of mine and they came in handy. A definite must.

Here are some pics from before the 31 x 10.5 Yoko's. These pics were taken the day of the install after a quick off road test. The tires on there are Wintermark Studded Snow Tires. Worked at a ski mountain in Maine for a season and had no excuse for not getting to work. Jeep + Wintermark = No Excuse

You can see evidence of the old fog lights. I got them on super reduced sale from Wal-Mart. Bogus construction that filled with water so I ripped them off. Just waiting for the next installment.

Stay tunned for Poconos Pics, the first real test.

it starting to look great, that sucks about the AAL in the rear. I just got AAL as well and i'm starting to regret it as well. You should take a look at Rocky-Road.com for disconnects, they are a good company and alot cheaper! Check out my xj when you get a chance, let me know what happens with the AAL.

hey thanks, yeah that is a river bed, your jeep is looking good, about the rear lift problem, if your add-a-leafs are good then it is probably that your springs are worn out in the back so the cheaper option is to try to find some lightly used stock leafs and install the add-a-leaf in those or you can just buy 3" lift leaf springs they will be more heavy duty and end up lasting longer. If i was you i would do the second thing but i think either would work.

yeah blackxj and bignsty are right. if you look at the trim line that runs the length of your xj, you'll see the front fender goes higher up the body than the rear one does. so basically you dont sag. BUT you do have less clearance in the back. check out my flex pics to see that. i have much better flex in the front. i just bought some 1.5in lift shackles for the back. maybe you can do that. they're less than a hundred bucks. anyway, nice xj. keep jeepin and check mine out.
