Car Information
Engine: 5k (1500cc of pure grunt ; ) up from 1200cc). Fitted with a Wade 169 camshaft, twin carbs, 4 into 1 extractors and a full 2 inch exhaust (3 inches after the muffler). An electric fan has been fitted recently to try to find a few extra horses (hey every little bit counts!!!). This motor has had more done to it and it will rev to 8000rpm plus (thats where the tacho stops) but I'm not gonna tell you any more. Gotta keep some secrets you know ;)

Drivetrain: Basically standard. 4 speed and a locked 4.77 ratio diffcentre (4.2 ratio single spinner standard). After a diff blowup - jammed the diff solid, steping off the clutch at 7000rpm wouldnt move it - its now back to a locked 4.2 centre.

Suspension: Always changing. Currently has had the front coils cut, modified crossmember for around -2 degrees camber, and around 5-10mm toe out and a heap of castor. Its a little heavy to steer but who cares! At the rear it has had two leaves removed and standard shocks. All this is to try and reduce oversteer (like snapping out under power in third gear : ) ). Have run two front anti roll bars at the front and one on the rear in the past but at the moment I am running a standard anti roll bar on the front and none on the rear (ones fitted but it is not connected)

Brakes/wheels: Later model discs fitted to front. These were modified to keep original stud pattern. Standard rear drums. Wheels are RX7 alloys modified to fit (two sets) or early Mazda steel rims (one set). Tyres used depend on the surface but I tend to use Bridgestone tyres, 185/65/13 fronts and 205/60/13 rears.

Body: Custom pearl paint color by P&A Paints in Ballarat Victoria Australia. The car has been lightened heaps and is probably under 800kg and no there is no stereo!

Interior: Everything that can be removed basically has been, this includes carpets, rear seat, heater, dachpad, etc. Door trims and part of the dash has been replaced with aluminium (thin enough to cut with scissors). Seats are Stratos recliners, an aftermarket steering wheel has been fitted and I am held in place with a 4 point harness (who cares about the passenger!!). Guages have been replaced with a factory sports cluster which contains a tacho and the car is started by flicking a couple of switches.
