Sierra57's 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

This is my car the morning it was to be towed to the shop and then eventually to the paint and body shop. This is one of the last times anyone will see it white and red.

This is the original 283 engine with a few add ons i did in the first year. Its all gonig except the air cleaner, the 600 cfm carb with electric choke, the grifin radiator and of course the power brakes. I have a 350 crate engine waiting to go in along with new front end kit and power steering.

Here is my car at the paint shop. It has a guide coat of black for me to pick out any imperfections that I wanted the body and paint guys to fix.

Another shot of the Chevy in the paint booth. Neat seeing it all black but I am glad that isn't the final color.

Close up of the body showing a some of the many stickie notes used to point out concerns. We didnt have a white grease pencil so we improvised!

Absolutely beautiful Sport Sedan! If my sport sedan looks half as good as yours when I finish, I will consider myself a success!

Beautiful 4-door Hardtop.

Since it's been a couple years now, how does the car run & handle?

Later.

Good luck on your project, I hope it turns out just as you imagine. Put detail into it and dont hurry on anything plus shorten up the pages and put more pictures on each page. Check mine out it took 4 years..
