This is my 1977 CJ-5. When I purchased it, it was strickly setup for offroad. Nothing electrical worked, well one headlight did but that was about it. No gauges worked. I first traced down the electrical problems. I don't understand it but most of the problems were they were just not connected. I could see if if they were broken but they were just hanging there. It wasn't as near the job as I first thought it would be but now everything works. When I bought it it also had open headers with no exhaust. I drove it about 50 miles home with open headers and I couldn't hear a thing. It now has glasspacks. I had problems with exaust coming into the cab. I ran them out the back and it just sucked in the back window. I finally ran them out the side in front of the back tires and that fixed the problem. Now I am almost finished with the body work and ready to paint. I hope to paint in the next two weeks. Those pictures will be online soon. The power plant in this is a built 304. It has been rebuilt about 1000 miles ago. It is very tight. It has a 2 inch suspension lift and a 3 inch body lift. The tires are 35 x 12.5 x 15. Well enough talking, here are some pictures.
I would like to thank a few people that really helped me with there various talents. Tammy, my wife that hasn't killed me yet for bringing home another project. Kristen & Jennifer, my daughters that support me even when the projects I bring home appear to have no life left in them. Lane, my dad who did lots of different things. Scott, my brother and my chief mechanic. Gary Reid, my best friend and painter.
My other car is a 1971 Chevelle and it can be viewed at Jeffs 71 Chevelle
