heres my killer sound system 1000w kenwood kac 929 and sony xm 444w i never thought the 800w sony's would last, but the kenwoods been pushing them about 10 months now in both my birds. coulda fooled me! theres the 1-farad capacitor that really adds the punch to the bass, and keeps the headlights from dimming. another cap shot i made the amp cover to keep them out of view. still enough ventilation for the amp cooling fan. i need to change that black carpet to gray. all i had at the time. another view infinity reference series 6.5" 4-ohm 180w 2-way.
mt-2500 snap-on scanner. that's probably my most valuable tool when i need it. 1/16/04 i got my new subs yesterday. pioneer premier 12" TSW2000SPL's. 27 lbs each. RMS nominal 750 watts / 2000 watts max the speaker chassis was hitting the front of the box so i fabricated these 3/4" spacers out of MDF. worked great! 1/24/04 installed another 1000w kenwood kac 929 just like the one i've been running. also another 1-farad cap. got plenty of p[unch now the LED display did not work on the new 1 farad cap so i got another one, this is a 1.2 farad Power Acoustik. i also installed a deep cycle battery in the space where the spare tire goes. glad i've got a good friend who owns a local wrecker service in case i have a flat tire. still working on a solution to that little problem. 8/24/04 got my false floor panel and all finished and nothing is visible from outside the car Below is my Optima red top battery which provides fairly good CCA for short term, but does not last very long at low engine RPM {low alternator output}
