Disclaimer: You are choosing to follow these instructions of your own free will, I will not assume responsibility for any damage that may come to you or your car
You'll need a couple of things from your local radio shack.
1. Momentary push button, you pick the style. DO NOT BUY AN ON/OFF BUTTON, make sure it says momentary push
2. Wiretaps
3. Some wire, I believe I used 20 gauge, but I think anything will work
4. Wire connectors for back of switch
Disconnect the battery.
Take apart the console.

This is where 1 screw is.
There Should be 1 more screw in the rear. If you car has and ashtray or not, you need to pull the cover off. The screw there when taken out should take off that rear piece.
After that there should be 2 nuts to be taken off.
You should be able to lift the rear up and pull and the console should come off.
This is what the wires look like when you take apart the console. There should be 8 wires that go into your shift unit.
1-Green/Red(Ignition)
1-Brown/Gray
2-Red
1-Green
1-black/white(Starter)
1-Green
1-Blue

These shots show the ignition harness. The wires that will be tapped are the green/red one and the black/white one.
The green/red wire should be stripped, then the first wires for the switch should be wrapped around this wire and electric taped.
The second wire if stripped to the black/white wire of the harness will allow you to start the car with either the button or the key. To start the car with just the button, cut the black/white wire on the IGNITION side of the wire tap you made (that is the side that goes to the key). Be sure to tape off both exposed ends of the black/white wire. Electric tape it
Put the battery connection back on.
Put the key indicator back on(Because it will not identify the key)
Put the key to the ON position.
Push and hold the buttom(it should start up)
After it worked.
Put the button where you want it.
Make sure all the wires have electric tape on it where ever you cut wires.
Put the console back on
And your set
This is where i mounted my button.

Good Luck
