HEY WELCOME TO MY SMALL CARDOMAIN PAGE HERE IS MY 90 FORD RANGER
THIS THE FASTEST RANGER ON CARDOMAIN SO FAR I SEEN.
THIS IS MY FIRST CAR(TRUCK).I BOUGHT IT FOR $600. WHEN I BOUGHT IT HAD 175K MILES ON IT AND A REALLY WORN OUT 4 BANGER. DID I MENTION IT WAS ALSO SLOW AS HELL.
2 WEEKS AFTER I GOT THE TRUCK I STARTED TO THINK OF MODS FOR IT. FIRST I WAS JUST PLANNING TO GET A NEW 4.0L V6 FOR IT BUT WE FOUND OUT THAT IT WILL COST ABOUT $2500 TO GET A PRETTY GOOD V6. SO WHILE I WAS LOOKING AROUND FOR A V6, A FRIEND OF MINE GAVE ME AN IDEA TO DROP IN A 351 SMALL BLOCK IN THERE.
AT FIRST I THOUGHT HE WAS JUST JOKING, AND I WASN'T SURE IT WILL FIT IN THERE. BUT WE WENT ON A START LOOKING FOR 351 SMALL BLOCKS BUT ALL OF TEHM WERE EXPENSIVE AS HELL ATLEAST FOR ME.
THEN I FOUND A ENGINE AT A LOCAL JUNKYARD. PRETTY GOOD CONDITION. IT NEEDED TO BE REBUILT. THE ENGINE COST ME ONLY $150 BUCKS.
ME AND MY FRIEND SUBIN WORKED ON THE ENGINE IN MY GARAGE. IT TOOK US ALMOST 4 WEEKS TO COMPLETLY REBUILD THE ENGINE. THE TOTAL COST FOR THE REBUILT ENGINE COST ME $1500 BUCKS NOT BAD COMPARING TO WHEN WE WERE LOOKING FOR USED 4 BANGERS AND V6.

I HAD MANY MANY PEOPLE ASKING ME WHERE I GOT MY HOOD. IT WAS ALL COSTOM MADE BY A LOCAL BODYSHOP. COST-$500
ALSO THE HEADERS TAHT I USED FOR THE SWAP WERE ALSO COSTOM MADE, BUT IT WAS CHEAP KIND AND I HAD FEW HOLES IN THEM AFTER ABOUT 10,000 MILES. I JUST GOT NEW HEADERS ALL COSTOM DONE. COST-$300
THE WHOLE SAWP WASN'T THAT BAD AS WE THOUGHT. WE DID THE SWAP IN MY SCHOOL AUTOSHOP. I HAD FEW OF MY FRINDS HELP ME WITH IT AND WE HAD ALL THE TOOLS AND HOISTS TO DO IT. PULLING THE 4 CYL ENGINE OUT OF IT WAS LITTLE BIT TRICKY THERE ARE 2 BOLTS RIGHT BY TEH FIREWALL THAT CONNECTS THE TRANSMISSION TO TEH ENGINE TAHT KIND OF HARD TO GET TOO.THE MOTOR MOUNTS ARE THE WORST THING. THEY SEEM TO GO BAD REALLY FAST THEY JUST TEAR APART. I TALKED TO FEW MECHANICS AND THEY SAID ITS BECAUSE OF TOO MUCH TORQUE. I AM REALLY SATISIFIED WITH THIS SWAP. ALL THAT WORK ID DEFINITLY WORTH IT.
