I don't really need to get into an exercise routine, but I want to. So I was thinking about getting another bike, though I'd had bad memories of the heavy, metallic-brown Schwinn Collegiate that I rode when I was a kid. I also had great memories of riding a friend's Cannondale back in high school, but who has that kind of money?
Then along came this beauty, which ended up being given to me as partial compensation for doing a basement renovation.
Photos were here once, then CarDomain changed, and I have to re-load the pics...
It's a 1980 Peugeot 103 (non-Carbolite, for you bike geeks). The guy I got if from bought it used, and the original owner had updated it with aluminum wheels with Simplex quick-releases, aluminum axles, and some sweet German-made brakes. The original SImplex derailer is still on it, but hasn't caused me a lot of the headaches it has for others. Yet, anyway.
The bike's currently in storage until I can disassemble it and get it prepped for warm-weather riding.
