2002 Ford Ranger Edge
Well here it is, a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge thats still undergoing construction. The pictures show how its coming along. Hope you like them.
The truck with some decals.
Here you can see the dash location with the Alpine CVA-801 CD/Player video monitor. Below is the the Alpine DVA-5200 DVD player.
Another picture of the dash, this time with the screen visible - Movie playing is Men in Black II with Wil Smith and Tommy Lee Jones - Its bangin'
Both sunvisors hold an Alpine TME-750 video monitor.
This is where most of the equipment is mounted. The subwoofer box. The enclosure is form fitted to the rear of the truck - There was no cutting into the bed area. The actual enclosure uses all the visible space, from the areas around the amplifiers, to the signal processors. Basically any area you see that is white is part of the enclosure
The above picture also shows two of the three Audison amplifiers used - One more to be added. The amplifiers are the LRX 2.500 which will run a 4 ohm mono load delivering 420 watts to two of the Focal 27V2 11" subwoofers. Another LRX 2.500 will run the other two Focal 27V2 subwoofers.
The center amplifier is the LRX 4.300. This is a four channel amplifier that is rated at 65 watts per channel to four channels at 4 ohms. This runs the front speakers which are the Focal 130V Slim. These separates incoporate the benefits of the Neodymium magnets. The rear speakers are the Alpine SPS-570 5x7 speakers simply used for rear fill.
The processors used are from Audio Control. An overdrive provides additional signal voltage, while the new DQX digital equalizer/crossover was used to tune the system.
The enclosure was painted Ford factory white to match the exterior of the truck. Silver was used to paint the amplifier racks to match the silver trim on the Audison amplifiers. Blue neon lighting was used behind the racks for highlights to match the blue Audision amplifiers.
Heres a shot of the amprack with neons in better view
Other components installed in the truck that are not visible are the Alpine NVE-N871A navigation system, Sony playstaion, Varad uncarraige leds-blue, strobe lights in the head and tail lights, and an Alpine 8063 Security system. The entire system wiring was done with Monster Cable M series cable.
Well thats about it for now. I'll try and keep this updated with more pics, and with other pics that I found cool.
Cheers
