I recently bought this car, being an avid Mopar fan and looking for a practical project car. I realized that C-Bodies were a lot cheaper than the more popular A, B and E-bodies, and also offered more space (especially the 4-doors). For $3,000 it was a dream come true. I haven't done anything to it yet, save a lot of washing and polishing, but over the summer I plan to do a few engine mods and then take it to the drag strip. It's nice to have a project car that runs (most of the time) with a good body/frame/interior, and to be able to drive it on the street when not on the strip. I'll be at U of M in the fall, (hence the page colors) but in the meantime I'll be driving this bad boy around Troy for a few more months.

The stats: Originally powered by a 360, it's now running a 1975 440 ci. plant, which has been souped up from "gas crisis era" to "muscle car era" performance with new parts including a racing cam, Edelbrock carb and dual exhaust. I actually don't know what all is in there, since everything was modified by the previous owner. What I do know is that the near-4,000 lb beast is making enough power to snap your head back during launches. I would estimate that it has around 350 HP and 450 lb-ft of torque, but more is on the way this summer once I get a new set of heads, a K&N filter and a Holley 770 Street Avenger carb.

Other cool features include BFG's, 15" steel racing wheels, the hood from a '70 Fury GT, and mirror-like tinted windows, which will have to be replaced to be legal ;) The sound system has also been heavily modified---I'll let you know when I get the radio put back in the dashboard, hehe.

One thing is for sure---it puts my '73 Dodge Polara rustbucket to shame! More pics and info to come!

You have an awesome Fury. If you would consider selling it in a near future I would be interested (for a reasonable price) in purchasing it. I have been looking for a good 69-71 4door, bigblock Fury/Polara. /Kent moparstuff@passagen.se Yep, I live in Sweden but it does NOT complicate anything (for you).

Hey nice car. Not too many out there anymore. My buddy's got one of the same year with a 383 4bbl. He swears by Edelbrock, just for the record. He hasn't had much luck with Holly on that car. He also has a hard time finding C-Body stuff. If you have any leads let me know. Hey check out my '73 Satellite Sebring "project" if you have time. Tell me what you think. Have fun and good luck.
