This is my 1985 VW Quantum GL that was given to me from my grandparents for my 17th birthday. I try to take very good care of it.

This picture is of my Quantum GL.

Originally I replaced both my original front and rear speakers with Polk Speakers (the ones that came w/ the car). The original speakers were Blaupunkt, which are from Germany. The polk speakers have a range of 90-22khz, max power is 105w and continuous power is 35w.

I still have the oval-shaped Polk speakers in the front of my car (4x6's). I replaced my rear speakers w/ new 6 1/2" Pioneer speakers!

They have a range of 30-30khz, max power is 220w, and continuous power is 50w. They're 4-way speakers, which is because of the supertweeter. I don't like to blast my music extremely loud, but they create so much more bass!
Here's a side-by-side comparison of the Polk 4" speakers and the new Pioneer 6 1/2" speakers probablynot's 1985 Volkswagen Quantum

This is my car after being washed and dried. In this picture, no black trim was polished, tires weren't glossy, body paint wasn't treated, polished, or waxed. Just a basic wash. probablynot's 1985 Volkswagen Quantum

Here's the stuff I used to clean up my car.

Since I have so many people asking about my Meguiar's stuff, here's how I got hooked.
When I first got my car, I didn't have any cleaning products for it. Once it got dirty, I decided to go and buy some car wash. I looked at Advance Auto Parts (favorite auto place to shop) and the Meguiar's Soft Wash Gel appeared to have good benefits for the price. So I tried it out. I was amazed at how shiny my car was just after washing it. Since the Quantum is my first and only car so far, I try to take very good care of it! I was very pleased with the quality of the wash, so then I purchased more Meguiar's products.

Nice car, i have an 85 Quantum GL5 here in the UK which i've been trying to restore to mint for 5 years now - nearly finished.Could use a new rear inner right side window seal with silver top, to finish it if anyone knows of some old stock, as part now obsolete from dealers (VW part no. 323853780J). Wonder if anyone else has a Quantum here or is mine the only one to make it to these shores? This one was shipped by previous owner from Chicago in 92 and left rusting for 5 years till i bought it in 2000.Looks like new now.Happy driving!

Hi eric !
You should be lucky to have a car in that shape !Most of them are taken away by rust !I write you from germany where this car is named Santana.Ive got on from 1987 and its still looking nice.I like to have the Double-headlight-setup,have you any connections to get that?
