Wreck 2

Well in July, the Dually was finally Ok from the first wreck. We had gotten the new hitch light and everything. I had ordered a few extra goodies in the process. I started working at Terry Cullen Chevrolet as a service writer August 4th.
Well one of the girls who worked there lived down the street from me. We usually saw each other on the way in to work. Well this one morning on the way in, a truck with a trailer decided he had to get over on 138 at the last second. He cut off a truck infornt of me to get over. Not only that, but in the process he misjudged the distance in front of him and had to lock up his brakes as he merged in. Well the guy now behind him locked up his brakes and aimed off the road. I saw it coming as the guy merged and was already on my brakes. Still had to lock them up to not hit the guy in front of me. Well Kim was behind me and was not so lucky.
Blam she hit me hard. All the work to the dually! Bumper was shot...new hitch was bent up...new hitch light was toast! Her front end was a mess. Broke her throttle cable and the truck was not even drivable.
So I met with he her insurance company and they agreed to buy a NEW bumper, a NEW light, and with some coaxing a NEW towing hitch. Turns out there was some damage to the tailgate I had not seen till one night. I was about to get it in the shop to have it checked out when the truck was stolen!
Well I got the new rear bumper and Thank God I did not have it installed on the truck yet!
