Welcome to my wee chunk of cyberspace devoted to my ride. She's a 1987 Mazda Rx-7 TurboII. I have been a big fan of the Rx-7 for some time and always wanted one, just because of money and other issues, aquiring one was damn near impossible, especially Turbo models. But Alas here she is! A Twist of fate and now I am a proud owner of a series 4 Rx-7.
I really don't want to go overboard with this vehicle, don't get me wrong I'd like to squeeze what ever I can out of it and make it look pimpin' too, however I do have my eyes on another wankel and I need to save my pennies for that. I don't want to go crazy on the looks, I kinda want to keep it a sleeper, if thats possible with the nature of the cars looks. However no wings, stickers, superfulous amounts of guages in the interior. I am more modest and like to keep my ride simple, but clean. So considering the condition I got it in, I still have a lot of work ahead of me.
In the performance department, I do not care much for qtr mile times, so incideous horsepower marks are not priority one for me, if I squeeze 280hp out of it I'll be completely happy. Reliability is something that is rather important to me so keeping the hp down to a modest number will probably give me longer life out of a already over the hill automobile.
