My 1986 Volkswagen Quantum GL5
This is a picture of my new car. Parked in Kansas City, Missouri.
My trip begins in CA.
The drive home in this car was rather smooth with the exceptions of the portion through tornado alley and though a few tornados.(The windshield wipers went out on the I40 going through a hail storm so my wife had to use her hands to move the wipers.)
Arrival
After Arriving in Kansas City I spent the day here. (My cousin, hardcore VW fan went on to the new Jetta)
The rest is a long story but this car is great it needs a little restoring I think I may be able to go to a few specialty shops for parts.
I've posted some new pictures so you will be able to see the progress of my car and the improvements that I am making to the car, this way if there is anyone out there you might see something that they can help me with let me know.
Here is a picture of my engine now...I'm waiting for some manuals to come in the mail so I really don't know what I am dealing with so I can't give any specs right now all I can do is assume that it is all stock?

This shot of the rear shows the sun damage on the car, I am trying to find a product that will revive the age, but I think that my only solution is going to be to get a paint job.
Overall I really enjoy this car and I've already put on about 2000 miles, It handles great
Well I am ending here, I will continue to update my progress and expenses,leave some room for questions, and post some new pictures.
