Engine bay: 1.8 liter finally imploded at 350K. Rebuilt a 2.0 liter ABA bottom end and rebuilt a cylinder head which kept the Digifant fuel and intake system. ABD strut bar. Bomz cone filter intake. Techtonics 268 camshaft. GLI dual-outlet exhaust manifold w/downpipe. Grounding Wires. Rebuilt the shifter with new linkages and bushings. Originally an automatic, I transplanted a brand new 020 MK3 5-speed.

Powdercoated BBS RA wheels with 205/50HR15 Goodyear Eagle GT-HR tires and freshly painted calipers. Upgraded the 9.1" front brakes to the 10.1" style and then now the 11" Corrado style with Girling 54 calipers.



Here is a shot of an Air/Fuel gauge I got from a guy off VWVortex. It is hard-wired to the oxygen sensor connection and it shows the system scanning the mixture when the car is running. COOL!!!

Rear drum to disc conversion using Mk 4 aluminum calipers.

Got a deal on this 4 point Neuspeed rear upper sway bar assembly. It looks really cool and it tightens up the rear suspension.

I bought a shelf and put it in my garage for the trophies from various car shows I have attended over the years. Some are for my prior VW, an '85 Cabriolet and the rest are for this one. Proud? Poser? Maybe a little of both. ;)
