Panchi (Short for Panchito) is a pretty much Stock 94 Kia Sportage MRDi.
The 2.0 L Dual Overhaead Cam Engine, makes him tough enough for Costa Rican roads, Manual Transmission, 15" Stock rims, Mcpherson Struts help a lot on the streets.
Costa Rica is one of the few places in the planet where you can Off Road on the Road... (More on this soon)
Here's the kiddo:

The only modification is the Pioneer CD Changer Head unit and the Pioneer Speakers replacing the factory ones, and two little JBLs tweeters for "brightness".
Panchi had a Nissan Sentra girlfirend:
Panchita. Apparently the "Off Road Action", or the simple
(Maybe boring) way of living was a bit to much for her, and she left him for a 2002 Jetta...
Anyway, now he's a free spirit, and decided to live one day at the time, but make the best out of it.

Front wheel drive really helped to get there...
We are from Costa Rica, a small country in Central America, where the scenery is great if you like the outdoors.
There are little towns

and
no towns!!.
Panchi had his lost, and so did I, here's Panch with my ex, before she went back to "Gaia".
She past away few months later, but we relly had a good time, she enjoiyed it and Panchi was a great partner after that.

Yes, what you see in the background is really a volcano!. That's the Arenal Volcano, which at night gives an spectacular fireworks show. Sadly that day we had no luck and the clouds were covering the top. We heard the tunder at night, though!.

It was a 2 day trip, about 5 hours from the capitol to there, and is worth it every mile!, we camp at night and came back the next day.
Two more pics of the volcano I found somewhere... Isn't that cool?
