Update 3/6-2005

After along wait I finaly got my parts shipment. Its been month and a half of pure agony, I havent been able to do anything to my ride because the lack of parts. Well now Im back in buisness.. Finaly..

Here are some snap shots of the parts...

RCI Tranny Safety Sheild and the new Dynomax Turbo mufflers (I had actualy orderd the Ultra Flow mufflers, but what the Hell.. (The Turbos will set off even more car-alarms and my neighbours will love me even more)

Here are the TTi 2" headers, 3.5" collectors (Still wrapped up, I dont want any dents or scrathes on them) New TTi 3" exhaust system with X-pipe..

Well You didint expect that everything with the shipment would go smooth did you??? I wont let you down.. There are two things missing in the shipment. Both of the header reducers.. What can I say but F..K!!! Well the missing reducers will arrive shortly, atleast thats what I was promised.. I just hope it wont take another month and a half before I get them...

Anyways.. Im realy looking forward to spending most of Saturday and Sunday in the garage.. The aim is to have my Charger ready for action by the end of this month.. I just keep my fingers crossed that nothing will f..k up that plan...

More pics.. These are awsome.. My new Weld Alumastar rims. Fronts are 4.5" and rear are 10" with 5" backspacing. Tires in the front will measure 185/80R15 and in the rear M/T ET Street Radials 315/60R15 (If you wonder why the rims have no rubbers, well this is the reason -Im still waiting for my rear tires.. what else is new???)

Heres a close up front and rear rim.. (Damn, I should cleane and paint the wheel wells black, so the rims could realy shine.. al in time..)

Here you see that the fit with a stock rear end and 10" rims is tight. You have lots of room at the hight of the leaf spring, but go up into the wheel well, and youll notice that its tight fit with 315/60R15 tires!!! Im realy pushing the limmits here..

And finaly a side wiev.. I think the Weld rims look just AWSOME!!!

Ill take more pics on Saturday.. Take care...

Cheers...

Here you can see how tight the tranny fit became with the addition of the safety sheild. Im not that impressed with the design of the sheild, but then again, with pure racing stuff youll always have some problems.. But I did get abit pissed, cause CSR claims in their sales add, that the sheild fits with out problems, but that turned out to not be bs.. anyways...

Some pics of the engine..

The TTi headers are expencive but well worth the money!!! Youll have a perfect fit, its not that difficult to mount the starter with the header and you wont have to be affraid everytime you drive over a speed bump that your collector flanges will hit/scrape the tarmac..

This is the wiev a dork in a Chevy/Ford driving on the fast lane will have, when I blast by and flip the middle finger howdy.. : )

Update time again.. 19/6-2005

Well alot has happend in the garage.. For the first time during the Charger project I feel that the finish line is with in reach..

I mounted a electrical water pump. Its a slick looking Moroso pump. I also bought an electric 16" fan from Flex-a-Lite..

The new carb linkage and Fuel system with fuel regulator. The regulator is kinda an overkill for the fuel system I have, but I still think its a good thing to use one, even if you run a mechanic fuel pump..

Here you see the rocker assembly. Its Crane Gold rickers with 1.60 ratio..

Damn, the engine realy look like a block of granit. Just the look I wanted. Ill have to do something about the oil and breather cap, it doesnt look good cause they are chrome and they stick out to much for my taste. I realy like how the engine compartment turned out, its simple, clean and no uneccessary "Bling, bling"...

Here is the "brain" of the ride, the MSD 7AL-2 ignition box. This box gives out such an electric punch, so if you would touch the wrong wire, the voltage in it will fry your balls!!!

MeFirst's 1970 Dodge Charger

Here a side and front end shot of my ride. Note that the front wheel is in a kinda weird angle, its not cause of a broken controll arm, etc. The reason is that the wheels are not aligned yet. Ill do that as soon as I can...

MeFirst's 1970 Dodge Charger MeFirst's 1970 Dodge Charger

What else is new.. We tried to crank the engine over, but for some reason the starter didint want to play. Im still investigating whats wrong. The good news is though that I didint fry the electrical system when I connected the battery and turned the Killswitch to "ON".. I kinda suprised myself to.. Like I have writen earlier the electric harness in my ride is like a nightmare, Ill definately have to replace it later on...

Im also under time pressure. Id like to have the car done by the end of this month, car inspection included. The first race is the 3/7 and I realy want to be part of the start. Hope everything works out and Ill keep my fingers crossed...

Take care untill next update...

UPDATE 1/7-2005

Some pics.. Damn, my ride turned out looking more radical than I expected : ) It looks just like a KOS racer... Here are some new pics.. Sadly cause to some problems I havent been able to take it out for a spin around the block yet.. but its close!!!
