UPDATE 1/5-2005

Well some progress again...

Ive been batteling it out with the electric dash harness, and it seems like I have won this round, but it remains to be seen...

Ive added a ProForm Shiftligh. Its quite the handy light, you can dial in the rpm of the light with this knob on the rear end of it, so no expencive "Rpm Pills" like you need to buy if you use a light from ex. MSD, etc.. I also added the warning light for engaged linelock.

(About the Hurst Linelock kit. Its a good kit, but the switch that comes with the kit SUCKS! Its this rinkydinky "push and hold" switch, in other words NOT GOOD!! Well I did some searching and found this awsome looking ON/OFF switch. The switch looks just like the ones found in Jet Fighters.)

I also added two new gauges, Oil pressure and Water temperature. Reason for this is that I dont realy trust the original gauges.

You may also remeber the awful looking "hole" in the dash.. Well I have made this plate to cover it up outtaw aluminium. I dont understand why I havent done that earlier, the dash looks so much better now. Still Id like to kick the former owners ass al over, who cut and hacked the original dash plate to hell..

Here are some pics of my Chargers Cockpit...

I have also wired and mounted the MSD 7AL-2 ignition box in the trunk next to the battery box.

People think you have to mount the ignition box in the engine compartment or inside the passenger compartment of a car, but thats not al true. You CAN mount the ingnition box where ever you want. The only thing you need to remember is to use a thicker wire gauge to keep the current flowing and pull the distributor wires as far away from other electrical wireing as possible!!!

Its also a good idea to put a fuse on the main power supply wire, the MSD ignition box pulls about 1 Amp/1000rpm.

I also added this slick looking Moroso fuel filter..

Well after al this is done, al I can do now is wait for my final parts shipment from America. Untill that shipment arrives, the Charger project is sadly on hold, and the deadline is closing fast. I am feeling a little nervous if me and my mech. friend will get the Charger ready for the first race, the 28th of May.. I can just hope for the best...

Untill next time.. Take care..
