Hello everyone.. Time for an update, sorry it has taken so long...
Well the Charger has gone through some major rebuilds, but there is still alot left to do.
This is what has been done...
Al the bushings have been changed to poly urethane bushings from MOOG. This was not the most pleaserable work to do, but when done, just awsome. Mounted the Energy Suspension 3-way adj. chocks in the front end.
The rearaxel got a new casing with 3.91 ratio.
Mounted the subframe connectors, the SS leaf springs, and Mopars own drag racing shocks.
Im right now waiting for some parts from the States, axel shafts from Moser and a Safety Shield for the tranny...
There is still much left to do, and ill update the page as the work prgresses..
But on to the pics.. Here we go....
The retired, but faithful 400 engine is out. And to the right, a pic of the 440 engine that will take its place. The 440 is a real KILLER!!! It gives out almost 600 real dyno horse power, and were not talking Ford ponys here, but REAL Mopar horses!

The Chargers rear end taken appart, the rear axel taken appart and new casing.

Rear leafsprings and chocks mounted.

Mounted the subframe connectors. The connectors makes the Chargers chassie more stiff.

Well thats it for now. More updates and pics will come with time... /Tom
21/2-05 UPDATE
Well quite alot has been done since I last updated the page.
The rear axel is now compleated. The Moser axle shafts are mounted.

I just had to put on one of the rear tires to check it out. It kinda looks like a 4x4 at the moment, but the Charger is still up on stands and the leaf springs and chocks are hanging down freely. The stance of the Charger will look alot better once its down on its wheels.

Ive also decided on new rims. Ill buy the Weld AlumaStar race rims. The rear tires will be M/T ET Street Radials (295/65R15)
The custom fitting of the Hurst V-Matic ratchet shifter is also done... Sadly my camera ran outtaw batteries so I dont have pics with the stock console in place.
(To others who are planing on mounting aftermarket shifters in their cars. Please do me a favour and do some planing and custom work, its worth the time and effort. Nothing DESTROYS the interior look of a car more than a badly done shifter mounting. In my op. when using the plastic "console" box that often comes with an aftermarket kit, that looks just awful, I can understand if one uses that in a 100% race car, but NOT in a street car!!!)
This is how it looks with out the console, Ill post pics with the console later on...

Take care...
UPDATE 8/3-2005
Here are the pics of the shifter with the console in place.. I have to say -I think it looks awsome...
