17/3-2004 I thought it was time for an update to my pages. Sadly I dont have any new pictures at this time. New pictures will come along shortly..
Things have not went as planed for this winter. Reason is that the garage where the Black Lady is hibernating, has had some bad wibes ower it. The owner of the facility is planing on tearing down parts of the building complex. This has made it impossible to start doing any kind of work, due to the reason, that we who have our cars in the garage dont know wether we can stay or are we going to be kicked out. So in other words, the winter plans have gone compleatly to hell.. Well enough about me bitching..
Some good news though. I got my claws into a Six-pack hood for the Black Beast. I have some work to do before I can attache it, and I can tell you already that I HATE sanding.. So I made the decision to pay a pro do the job, maby it will cost me some dineros, but I think its going to be worth it in the end.
I have made my decision conserning the engine (it might change though..) The engine will be built from the 400cid engine and rebuilt to become a stroker 451. The plans to redo the suspension is also done, so now I only have to wait for the guy who will help me, to finish his other project, so he can start on mine.
I wanted to build an engine from a 440 block, but over here they are so expencive that its not worth it. Like ex. I went to check out this one 440 engine, seller said it to been rebuilt. -Yeah right! The engine was just a pile of crap. I realy felt sorry for it. When the guy fired it up, it sounded like it was screaming in agony and praying to be put out of its missery, and the guy had the balls to ask a "high" prize for it. I commented just -Thanks but not interested..
I also had another 440 engine that I was interested in, but the seller turned out to be a compleat asshole.. So I dont bother anymore, Ill build something fun from the engine I have in the car. It just takes to much time and energy to chase after a 440 engine, and the time and energy will be better if put into what I have to work with right now.
Well thats about it. Ill post some new pics in the near future. -Ooh, and please God up there in heaven who I love -Please make the snow go away!!! I cant stand the winter anymore!! If I was God Id make it a universal law that snow is only allowed between 21st of dec. to the 26th of Dec. The rest of the year it would be sunny and nice, a little rain is ok though..
Take care, and a BIG thank you to al you people who have woted for my page so it has remaind in the top 10 : )
Untill later.. Tom.
7/4-2004
Well time for another update. Have some new pics aswell. I have been working on the Six-Pack hood now for 4 days. I decided why would I pay someone to do it when I can do it myself. It was nicely made, but the finish of the hood wasnt up to my high set standards. So I have put about 25 houers in sanding it down to get a nice finish -Now I can realy say I HATE sanding! It still looks rough, reason is I havent sprayed filler on it yet, to get the nice surface. The hood is going to be painted Black as the rest of the car.
It was realy "fun" to redo the hood. Well not the rough sanding part, but the finishing touches to the surface was fun. Like you realy see where al the time and and energy went. I had to rebuild the center pice in the scoop because it was broken. Its not strait as an arrow, but what the Hell -Its a racing hood for crying out loud, and im not building a trailer queen show Charger.
But on to the pics...

Me taking off the "old" hood.. -Dont ask me what Im laughing about!!! Its highly X-Rated : )

Charger with out the hood.

Six-Pack hood in its right place..

This is what it looks like from the inside and from the left side point of wiev..

Hood attached and the hood pin sprint wires attached.. Its looks kinda raw in this stage.. -Hmm, maby I should leave it like this??? Paint does put on some weight to the car, maby if I dont paint it, I can shave off some of that 1/4 mile time???

Some bonus pics. A friend of mine droped by the garage.. Here is his 69 and my Charger side by side.. -The Beauty and the Beast.. -You decide wich is wich..

Well Ladies and Gentleman, that was the show this time. I hope you will be back for the next update...
Take care.. Laterzzz...
8/5-2004 Just a short note. Its been a hectic time these passed weeks. Ive still managed to get the hood done, well it only lacks paint. The guy who was supposed to paint it for me this weekend got some other stuff he had to do before he could attend to my hood, so that kinda sucks. I also had to move the hood pins closer to the front end of the hood, reason is that in higher speeds the air slipped under the hood and I was affraid that if I would go at supersonic speed the hood would crack. It turned out nice.
I also rebuilt the exhaust system and changed mufflers. Im not happy with the mufflers though the "new" ones do give the Black Lady a little bit more ground clearance, but they are waaay to quiet.. I realy do need to buy some Flowmasters to get the decibel level up on the Richterscale...
Also some bad news. I broke the radiator. I was just going to tighten the sender to the electric fan, (Installed by a prev. owner, the sender is there, but the electric fan is missing) I just touched it and the damn thing breakes and cooler water started to squirt in my face. Lucky me though the water wasnt hot, so i didint get any 3 degree burns in my face... But the Lady is outtaw action for some time untill I can get the radiator fixed.
New pics will arrive soon..
Take care...
