Hi, we are still alive. Winter is closing in on us here in the North. Well under those months ill have alot of time to work with the Lady to get her into a realy nice shape untill the next summer.
Well the things im doing just now is waiting for some parts. Im going to do a drum to disc-brake change on the Lady. I have almost al the parts, but again like Murphys law says, its always the smallest and cheapest parts that will be missing and causing gray hairs and the use of bad language.. Well hopefully ill get those damn bushings asap...
Ill take some pics of the swap so youll have an idea of what im doing.
The reason for doing this swap is that with the drum brakes there is not enough brakeforce to stop the Lady, and im afraid that ill have to scrape some silly ricer thing from the front of the Lady if I dont do this change. I do like to hunt and kill ricers but not like that : )
My plans for the winter is to redo the interior of the car, alot of major elecrical work, change al the bushings and put in new suspension parts so she will handle better. When al that is done i hope summer will have arived here again..
Ill keep you updated on the progress..
Take care

I was at a Mopar "fanatics" meeting today. Just talked about how awsome our cars look : ) After this we went crucing the streets of Stockholm.
Here are some pics of the cars that made it to the meeting today.

Now for some sad pictures. ALWAYS HAVE A FIRE-EXTINGUISHER IN YOUR CAR, may these pics remind you that "old" cars, they realy are somewhat fire hazardous.

There you have the proof. Hope this NEVER happens to your pride and joy...
Untill next time, take care...
26/9-2003 Just a short note so you will know that the Black Lady and me are still alive. As you may have noticed Ive done some changes to the page setup. So what has been going on with the Lady and me? Well, I have now made the drum to disc conversion to her, worked out great, well with some small problems, but in the end everything worked out great. She now has realy good stoping power, I dont have to be afraid that Ill run over any Ricers due to poor brakes. I also made a braket for the Fire extinguisher, and changed the rear exithoust pipes to aluminium ones, strait pipes. I took off the old ones, that had these damn resonance pipes in them, a great choise, now you can realy hear the engine..
The next project is the remake of the interior, Ive already made a list of the things I need to order from YearOne. I might also do a light engine upgrade aswell, just to make the engine breath a little better..
Well this is it for now.. Ill put in some new pics and keep you up to date whats going on..
Take care..Bye for now :)
26/9-2003 Here are some new pics of the Black Lady..

Take care..
27/9-2003 Hello again.. Small things makes a day turn out great : )
This morning was just full of suprises. I got home from work this morning, thought Id just take the Black Lady out for a spin. It was nice, me and the Lady almost al alone on the highway (time was about 8.20am). Well turned out we werent alone after al, we saw a Corvette, a Trans Am and a El Camino. Raced a Subaru Impreza and a Porsche 911.. The Impreza was an easy win, but the Porsche 911 put up a good fight, lets just say to close to call : )
Another kinda funny thing hapend aswell, on the way back home it started raining, like it poured down for about 10 minutes, the rain came down so hard that I had to park on the side of the road, because the wipers couldnt wipe fast enough.. Well, the rain stoped and I went my marry way.. Well sort of, put it in first and hit the accelerator, nothing happend, like the engine roared and the rpm went up to 4000, but the car didint move?? -What the hell? Well it turned out that there was so much water on the road that my 295 wide tires didint get any kind grip, the rear tires were just spining.. And now the fun started : ) When I came back to the city, I started playing around the streets like throwing the rear around, made a cupple of 180 and 365 turns, just letting the car slide al over the soaking wet streets.. My face was just a big smile, I felt like a small kid again.. But a warning aswell, look out for other cars so you dont end up smashing into someone while you are playing! And here is my appology aswell for al the people that got a rude awakening by the roar of 400cids after 9am this Saturday morning..
This day turned out to be a GREAT day..

Untill next time..
3/10-2003 Sad and bad news.. I broke? the gearbox in the Black Lady.. How you may ask? -The truth is I have no idea? Hmm, wonder if it has something to do with the funny stuff me and the Black Lady were up to in the note from 27/9-2003???
Though I think its just some mechanical malfunction in the shifter mechanism, atleast I hope so.. But for now the Black Lady is out of the action, and my plans to redo her interior went down the drain, atleast for the time beeing..
Well, atleast something good also came out of this..If I have to rebuild the tranny, Ill also do some magic in the engine compartment.. I feel the horns, in my forhead, starting to grow : ).. I can always remake the interior next winter : )
Ill put in a note again, when I find out what the hell is wrong with the tranny, and how I will deal with it..
Later.. Tom
12/10-2003 Well good news atlast. I got my car over to an other garage so the rebuild of the tranny can begin. But otherwize these last two weeks has been a total bummer. Started out with a broken tranny, followed by my computer totaly loosing it (still havent figured out whats wrong with it), and today 2 parking tickets and a towtruck guy trying to rip me of.. -What a f***** great week.. But when your down there is only one way to go, and that is hopefully up.. I hope my luck has finaly turned for the better..
12/11-2003 I got my Charger on the road again, the tranny is now rebuilt. Every single part in the tranny was busted up, not one part was ok. It took 4 houers to clean out al the metall gunk and crap inside it.. But now its working ok. I had the mech. guy put in a tighter shift kit and he also rebuilt the tranny so it will with stand about 600-700hp, thats good to know for the future.. Because im planing on buying a crate Wedge 500cid engine..
Winter is again closing in upon us here in Sweden, so this incoming weekend ill put my Charger into hibernation, and start making her ready for action again in Aprill-May 2004..
Ill post some new pics soon..
Thats al for now. Take care..
29/12-2003 Here are some new pics, they are kinda sad..
Here are som pics of what was broken in the gearbox.. Low and reverse band and drum toasted. The Kickdownpiston rod guide thingy cracked. And there was also about a ton of metall gunk inside the gearbox, that took about 4 houers to get cleaned out..

But now the gearbox is rebuilt to take some realy nasty punishment..
I have droped the Wedge 500cid engine plan due to the crate engines poor quality. Instead I plan to build a stroker engine, a 451cid or a 474cid, maby with an EFI system.. That will unfortunately be a project for next winter. This winter I will concentrate on rebuilding the suspension, rearaxel, etc, to make to Charger ready for a 500-600hp engine.. My goal is 11-12sec on the 1/4 mile, maby a little faster : ) But the Charger will stay a street brawler, im not going to make a strip racer outaw her.
Thats it for now, take care..
