Wow! Well all you can pretty much say is "it's stock alright".Notice the heavy duty bendable tin mounting baffle.
Tracing up the original mounts and making new ones from 3/4 inch MDF.
I knew this wouldnt be fun but not having essential wire going to your tweeters in the doors is less fun. I had to push the boot through the door jam and into the inner door cavity and then snake my new wire through the boot with a coathanger and then reinstall the boot by pushing it back through the door jam...Not exactly a walk in the park but something that you get better at with practice...The boot was taped together at each end which needed to be removed in order to get my wire through.This was another reason why it had to be temporarily removed...

The baffles were sprayed with truck bed coating to protect them from moisture.

For such a simple looking driver they really do have an eloquent style to them..Too bad this install won't be showcasing their good looks...
