The Old Dakota:

The Dakota Now
![]()
This is my 1988 Dodge Dakota. It has the stock 3.9L V6, with only a K&N filter and a Mopar Performance Parts Purple Shaft cam and Mopar Headers, so that is what accounts for the bump from about 130 horsepower to 200. I have all my new parts in, which are headers from Mopar Performance Parts and a new muffler from Dynomax. The truck only has 82,800 miles on it, and I am currently building a small block V8 for the truck, that I have one goal of 1 HP per Cubic Inch for it, which means hopefully I will have a good bit over 318 HP, which translated into a quarter time will equal about a 13.8 second pass, but with the parts I am putting in it, it should rip off a 13.4 pass.
Here is the V6 Desktop Dyno Sheet:

I just picked up an AX-15 5 speed to replace the POS that is the A535...that should be put in sometime next week

The exterior is upgraded through a new front spoiler from Stillen, i have a Lite Glow undercar neon kit, and i have neons underneath the hood, to show off the chrome valve covers. I also have Taylor red convoluted tubing covering up all of the factory wires and some hoses.

On the inside, I have replaced the stock bench seat, with leather bucket seats out of a 2000 Durango (pics below), i have an AutoMeter AutoGage 3 3/4" tach, a universal gauge pod with AutoMeter Lunar series gauges in it, and my Aiwa CDC-X217 head unit with Blaupunkt speakers all the way around.
