For a couple of months in 2003 I had two 740iL's - 1997 and 2001. The 1997 was sold in September of that year.
It was a beautiful car in like-new condition. I bought it in 1999 and liked it so much, that in 2003 I bought a 2001 740iL - the last year of the E38 - which I am still driving - now in San Jose - in 2006.
