Engine
This is how it all started..
I bought the car with a non-running motor - there was 0% compression on all cylinders. After ripping apart the motor and head, the 4 inlet valves were discovered to be bent to about a 10-15 degree angle:
The motor has been ripped out of the car and rebuilt with new rings, bearings, timing chain, etc. The balance shafts have also been removed to give the car more power. The head has been reconditioned and includes a mild street cam with Toyota valve springs.Engine during rebuild..
Head before recondition..Head after recondition..
OK Just finished putting the engine back together and finished painting. Sorry about the quality of the pic, it was 1 am..
OK better ones:
I got the exhaust done, here's the Cannon (Oct'03)
The engine how it is now (Jan '04)
Cold air intake
Reconditioned Carby
