Okay....here's the rundown on the stereo. Deck and speakers have been in for over a year now. Sub just put in.

Here's the CD/MP3 deck. JVC KD-SX980. 200 Watt max. Sounds good and has good features. Clean sound for the price.

Front driver side speakers. (I have a matching blue cover for it...kinda ugly w/o). It's a 3.5" Pioneer 3-way. Very good sounding for that small of a driver. Almost a tweeter!

Right side 3.5" Pioneer. These were not easy to install...I had to just pry up the dash a bit and put the new speakers in very carefully. Took a lot of help.

Rear deck speakers. 6.5" Pioneer 3-way's. Good sounding...decent bass and great midrange sound. 80W max and 35RMS which gets surprisingly loud. Super easy to install...exactly opposite of front speakers.

Okay...here's the new big project. (You can see the 6.5" with the blue cover on). Anyway..... it's a 800 Watt Max and 400 Watt RMS amplifier. It pumps out 4 ohms bridged (400W x 1). Brand new Pioneer GM-X970. Sounds great....clean and loud sound. Has a good heatsink..which is necessary because it gets pretty hot when playing loud for a while

Here's the amp and sub in my trunk. It's a 12" Pioneer TS-W305C. Brand new model. 800W Max and 400W RMS...so it's perfectly matched to the amplifier. Sounds great so far. Deep bass. I put it in a 1.75 cubic foot Q-Logic Type-3 box. Very well constructed box. Heavy fiberboard and solid gold plugs. Good price too. I would recommend Q-Logic.

Here's a closeup of the sub. Looks nice and keeps clean. It's got a lot of travel..and moves a lot of air. 400W RMS is very very loud. Probably break my windows at that db level. It goes down to 18 hz....yes 18 hz kids. Thats one of the lowest notes available by a sub on the market. Dang does it shake.

Here's a closeup of the amp. Nice looking...much better than a lot of other brands. I wired everything myself...and thankfully it all worked!

Here's the engine compartment. Just had some work done. A few little things to tweak the engine for the altitude and timing n' such. 35 MPG in the city...can't complain. Decent horsepower...but NO torque. Typical for older 4 bangers. It's a 2 Liter inline 4...pretty big for its age. (Same displacement as the EVO engine- anybody wanna swap?). Clean compartment for being almost 16 years old.

Closeup of the 4 gauge power cable I ran. It's got a 60 amp in-line AGU fuse that does its job. Hopefully wont need replacing for some time to come. I ran it through the door compartment and back to the amp. I used a Lightning Audio kid that I got for a great price. Also a 4 gauge ground cable which is silver (can see it to the right of the subwoofer).

Here's the finished product. 12" sub...big amp...and still room for safety crap...a gas can...and the oh so important hockey stick.
