Hey thanks For droppin in to check out the Datsun. It's a light green 1975 620 Pickup. I purchased it in May for CAN $975. It came with a spare chrome bumper, a replacement grill, a set of single wheels and a pair of duallie wheels and an ugly ass white canopy. I think its been upgraded to a 3/4 ton in the rear because the rear springs are rock solid for such a light truck and it takes 4 times more weight than any of my friends vehicles to make it drop the same distance. Its a nuisance (and a back breaker) goin over speed bumbs and shit like that. The interior is completely gutted. There is no carpet, a crappy headliner, shitty door panels, no stereo, just seats, gauges, the dash and a shifter and not much more. I plan to lower the front till the tops of the tires are the same height as the wheel well lip (about 2 1/2 to 3 inches front, 5 1/2" rear) It has a pretty radical and cool lookin sport rake like the old skool 80's Datsun minitruckers used to have and it suits the truck pretty good, but it's probly not gonna stay anymore when i lower it, maybe just a bit. Then I plan to paint it Flat Black like early hot rods with red and chrome wheels much like a Gennie, and white wall tires.Im goin to sand it right down to the bare metal, primer the whole thing, and spray the colour. It should look better that your typical repaint (think Maaco) at probably about half the cost. Plus I get the glory of doing it myself, plus i can control the quality. I will be posting pictures soon, of how it was when i got it, how it is now and then photos of my progress.

Nice looking truck matt, keep up the good work and post some more pics of the 620 beast. Thanks for checking out my 510.If you look at the passenger side of the cyl.head you should see a # up front that will tell you the type of head you have e.g.u67 .If you want simple upgrades with abit more hp,stuff like a better but not too fussy carb would be a weber 32/36(its a downdraft)Maybe a better cam, keep around a low .400 lift. The nice thing about the l20b motor is their is litterly tons of mods and combinations to choose from.Specialy engineering are super, super group of people and can build you a bitchin motor.Collin and Dave will contest to that(the drivers at the Mid-ohio runoffs)I have over the years allways gone to them for stuff. The address is 67 blackie st New Westminister(phone# 521-9232)A good local web page, mainly for 510`s,but lots of guys with l20b`s is www.the510realm.com.Also dual su carbs are nice for the street if you get more into doing the motor up.They are not as tempramental as Dual webers.Even though I have webers(and they do sound so sweet when you open them up)They are a raceing carb, and on the street in day to day driving can be a pain.I dont drive my car daily any more so I dont complain any more:)Any other questions you have email me at pladsen@telus.net.Like I said ,the510realm.com is a good site for info from local guys and for parts etc. Talk to ya later Greg
