I picked her up in March of 2000 for $1,000. She's a 1987 Iroc Z equiped with a 5.7 350 and t-tops. She had about 74,000 miles on her then and I've put about 3,000 more on since I picked her up. That's about 1,500 miles per year.
This is the way I brought her home in March 2000.
The driver's side was crunched in the front just under the headlight. The fender too mangled for repair.
1 more shot of the exterior but the damage is actually blocked by the cooler.
I didn't get a shot before I pulled the terribly destroyed seat but here's the "new" seats.
They came from a 1995 Camaro that I found in a junk yard.
After some steaming and scrubbing they came out pretty nice.
I decided I didn't like the stock gauges ...
... So I ripped them out.
I decided I didn't like the grey plastic interior.
I pulled out the whole interior ...
... Threw out the carpet ...
... and went with black plastic ...
... and grey vinyl on the sails as well as two-toning the headliner.
One more shot from the rear.
Next up, I wanted to fix the front end.
So, I took the whole nose off of the car ...
... and put a used but perfect fender and nose on.
This year, I finally saved my pennies and got a real nice gift.
I had the car repainted and had the stripes painted in. I also had the pillar around the windshield painted black to match the t-tops.
For our anniversary, the wife bought me American Racing Torq Thrust II's. What a gal!

It's been a little over three years now but the Roc is finally shaping up. Next summer we'll tear the engine down and rebuild it.
