Ivory's 1990 Mazda Miata

Not much different than other Miatas.

Ivory's 1990 Mazda Miata

These wheels will be on the car soon. The tires currently on the car are nearly bald. These are 15x6.5 bronze Konig Heliums wrapped with 195/50/15 Toyo T1-S tires. Each wheel/tire is about 28 pounds. Might still get some forged 14" wheels if I feel the 15" is too heavy. Could lose 3-4lbs/corner with set of 14x7 TE-37 wrapped with 195/55/14 Toyo T1-S tires.

I estimate the weight of my car to be between 2050-2100lbs depending on gas level. Would still like to drop another 100lbs.

Update: this page was created in 2003. This car has now been sold to a friend who has rebuilt the engine, stripped much of the interior, added a roll bar, fixed headlights, sticky rubber, etc. It's now faster than it ever was with me, but looks a great deal rougher as well. I'm glad I can still see my first car whenever I want to, though. After a brief one-week flirt with a very pristine 1992 Crystal White Miata, I found my current 1991 BRG SE which I've owned for almost 2 years.

I'm running the same toyos on my coche and they are nice. With the new tire/rim 15" combo i take turns like i've never even dreamed. 16 and 17 would look nice, but that's all they're good for
