This is my 1998 Buick Park Avenue.

71boattail's 1998 Buick Park Avenue

A little history, the Park Avenue started out as the top trim line of the Electra. I think they came out in like 1975 or sometime around there and became a seperate model in 1991, and remain the top of the line model for Buick.
Specs.

Here is the engine, as you can see it is the GM 3800 series II.

It is a 3.8 litre v-6 about 205 horsepower. I don't know why Buick don't use an 8 cylinder in their biggest car, but my take is that they want to competitively price the Park Avenue, while keeping it cheaper to produce. It sure could use some more power. It's nothing like the V-8 403 that was in my 1978 Park Avenue. Oh-well there are always performance parts and stuff like that.

I guessed on those quarter mile times. I do know that they are a bit faster than the Town Cars, but Town Cars crawl too. It is a very smooth riding car, and I have had no problems other than programming the garage door opener, the plastic plate covering the seat mechanisms falling off, (glue helps) and the ashtray won't stay shut. It has about 40,000 on it. It is in perfect condition.

There's the side.

These are the premium wheels that come stock for the Park Avenue Ultra, but as an option forthe standard Park Avenue. I like them and don't think I will replace them any time soon.

Nice PA. I drive a 99 and I know exactly what you're talking about with the ashtray. Don't try to slam it shut, did that on mine and I think I shoved the tray in too far... :(

Thanks for saying nice things about my ride, I think your Buick is high-styling and I would have no issues owning a sweet car like yours. I agree buhbuhbuick my tire/wheel combo, I am starting to hate those damn wheelcovers that are on there now. The upside is that the tires are brand new and the covers were damn cheap, the downside is that there are SO fugly! Lately I have been putting my cash into getting the car more reliable, and bringing the interior comfort level up as well. The wheels I have been considering are American Racing 'Torque-thrust II's', in polished aluminum. I also just got a new dual exhaust set-up on the Linc and it sounds great! Michael
