Watson Lake car show
Arizona MAZDASPORTS entered 10 cars into this car show. It is hosted by the Prescott Antique Car club, but the show is open to all makes & models of all years.
Tony and Richard arrived at my house Friday afternoon from Phoenix with their Mazda 3 & Mazda 6. George stopped by after work with his Protege 5.
We spent all evening detailing the 4 MAZDAs that were there. We even removed the air silencer from Richard's Mazda 3.
We got to bed after midnight to be up at 5 AM.
Around 6 AM Saturday morning the other 6 Mazdas arrived from Phoenix & Tucson.
Around 6:30 we headed to the lake for the car show.We arrived and parked all the cars back to back.
The order was a yellow Protege 5, silver Protege 5 with a 03.5 MAZDASPEED front end, a black Protege 5 with a Turbo, My laser blue Protege 5, & a stock black Protege 5.
On the second row was a winning blue Mazda 3, Silver Protege sedan with a EVO body kit, Black Mazda 6, Lapis blue Mazda 6, & a white Mazda 6.
We hung out at the car show until around noon. Then we went to the tire shop because my left rear tire was loosing air. Found out I had a piced of metal in the tire.
Half of the cars in our club had to get back to Phoenix so they hit the road. Next we went to my house and all watched movies and got some sleep.
That evening the remaining people went to the Prescott Valley Raceway and watched the races.
After the races we did a midnight run up Mingus Mountain and then back down to Prescott Valley.
Sunday Morning I had to work for a few hours but stopped at the information booth of the car show after work.
I found out that George (gjmack3)had won 1st place in the most original class. So I picked up his trophy and took it home.
I called him and he came over to my house. We had a BBQ with Tony, Richard, George, Christy, Lexi & I. I presented George with his First Place Trophy.
After Lunch we went to an empty parking lot and took some pictures before Tony & Richard went back to Phoenix.
