OK, so it's not really a Ford. We are pretty sure it's an Avenger but I also saw a photo of a Jamacian and they both look similar. It is a GT40 replicar that has been built on a VW dune buggy chassis and has a corvair motor in the rear.
Eric's friend's dad built this car "back in the day" and when he bought himself a beautiful Cobra kit car, he gave this one to Eric for a steal of a price. We wish we had the time and money to finish her but sadly we don't. This car is very mean looking and the shape she is in doesn't give her justice.
After driving her all through college and after, the previous owner had readied the fiberglass body for a good paint job. Now that we have taken the reins..we hope to do that soon.
As you can see from the dates on the pics....she is last on our list of projects. We would love to sell her to someone that has the time and money to work with the potential and make one bad ass car.For now she remains covered up under a tarp.

It happened so suddenly. He called, asked if Eric wanted it and the next day the car was being dropped off!
The previous owner and his sons did good body work, filling in the slightest chip.
My impulsive nature took over and I attacked with left over spray paint.
I did this side better because I wanted to see what it would look like all one color. Ultimately we would want to paint her the classic orange on blue paint scheme.

We are the owners of a 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 that you can see here ExoticDMC

Dude! I have a 1977 Avenger GTX. I purchased it a little over a year ago in Long Beach, CA. My buddy Don has a slightly older one, I believe a '68. He lives in Lyons. I'm currently adding an air conditioner and will definitely be driving it by the summer. Keep in touch with me. . .
