The First Stereo System
To start off, let me say one word... EBAY! If you havent yet, I strongly recommend using Ebay for your stereo stuff...I got all BRAND NEW equipment at insanley low prices. If you ever need any Rockford Fosgate stuff, email me, and i'll send you to who i bought my stuff from-not 1 regret.

Alright, enough talking. My system consisted of:
RF RFX9220 Head Unit

RF FNX2614 6.5" Components

RF FRC4269 6x9 speakers

RF351M power amp 175x1 @ 4 ohms and RF 551x power 70x4

RF HE2 RFP4210 sub (100-400 watts RMS). I weighed it by itself, and it is 13 pounds! It's getting 380 watts, which is perfect for what its made to handle.

Plus about $200 worth of wiring all blue/silver and fuses.
As you can tell, I wanted a few things when I went with this system. First off, I wanted all the same brand, and one that I can trust. Secondly, I didnt want too much bass. Being a brand new car, I dont want to shake it apart, so when I was shopping I was looking for more sound quality.
Working on the car, I put it in my unusual basement. We have a car lift under one of the garage floors custom built by my father. I lowerd my car into my basement, so I could work on it and take my time on it.
Yes, i had plenty of tools
Here is my car being lowered into the basement, and then in place next to my project car, a 1984 Trans Am.

And finally my beatiful work area

Here is the custom work I did to the tweeters, so I could stealth mount them in the factory locations.

Stripping the car

6.5" Components in their new home

Running all of the wiring was fun....

Swapping of the rear 6x9's

Once all the wiring/speaker replacements were done, My essential friend Kdiddy and i worked on the sub box

and he was gracious enough to do all the soldering...Yes, we soldered everything together.
With box built I put on what I could outside of the car

Under the hood, placing the fusebox was very challenging, but we finally got a good spot, and i really like it.

The final product:

All told, I have 2 pairs of 6.5" components, 2 2way 6x9's, and 1 10" sub running at 2 omhs. The amp is putting out (you can tell by the paper givin with it) 380 watts, so thats what my sub is being pushed with. Thats good, when it should only be expected to have 350watts (by manufacturer)
All in all, I love this sound system, and I've noticed no slow down from the added weight.
Unfortunalty, or fortunatly for that matter, I didnt like how the wires looked, and the fact that when I accelorated quickly a lot, I would have to push the box back in place. That is why I re-did the trunk, as shown at page 5.
