The Silvia as I bought it, I already have new wheels to suit the five stud hubs. 2: Parked up in the garage in the early stages of removing the old drivetrain.
Half cut and rear end being delivered. 4: The damage wasn't as bad as it looks.

Stripped Silvia and half cut. 6: New motor being removed from half cut.

 Nearly out.

RB25DET on an engine stand, partially painted prior to installation. I also fitted a new water pump, timing belt, tensioner, idler and other belts.

Half painted satin black. 12: Finished engine bay paint job.

Braided brake lines. 22: Rough set-up to check wiring, it took a while to start but ran pretty well under the circumstances.

Twin 12" electric fans. 24: Set up to run with fans etc.

Rear subframe urethane bushes in. 26: Three inch exhaust.

Simple muffler, no need for chrome when it sounds so good. 28: The HICAS rear wheel steering has been eliminated.

 Apexi products are nice!

and 32: Fuel pump and surge tank installation.

Engine bay finished for now. 34: Interior is standard apart from the Momo wheel and manual shifter.

There was a lot of junk to move to exit the garage and two motorless FD3's. 36: I had to dismantle some of our fence to push the Bats out of the way.

The Silvia is currently running 10psi with a nice flat fuel curve thanks to some tuning with the SAFC2 and a wideband oxygen sensor/laptop. This made a huge difference to the power but I am going to fit a larger intercooler soon and see how it goes with 14psi. The car handles really well on the racetrack despite the extra weight up front.
The intercooler has been fitted and the car Dyno tuned putting out 290hp at the rear wheels. As the boost curve shows boost drops off to about 11psi at high revs but the turbo comes on boost at about 2800rpm so it is a good compromise. The initial power run peaked at 299whp running slightly less boost and with more boost I got over 300whp but I had to retard the timing a little as it was detonating. Some tuning of the mixtures gave a large increase in torque in the midrange.
