1) H&R Sport Springs:
I've been wanting to get these for awhile. They'll go well with the Koni adjustable shocks/struts. Anyone already own H&R's want to share w/me about performance gains? Glad you have 'em? Wish you didn't buy 'em?
2 yrs later: I got 'em! Page 20 for the info
TIP: Cardomain offers a low price guaruntee of 105% meaning you get 5% off the lowest price you can find. Tire rack sells it for higher than cardomain. If you notify cardomain of this price difference, they will grant you a cheaper price for these H&R Springs. Price ends up to be less than $200
Update: According to many forums that I've read, these springs are complimented by KYB struts among other brands. Note that replacing oem springs with stiffer ones will wear out your shocks in no time! So make sure you get shocks/struts when you upgrade your springs. Only KONI makes a full set of suspension struts/shocks for the Rav4 '01+ so far. The rears are inserts and require cutting and otehr modification to your stock equipment. Toyota does not recommend this. KYB is working on replacement parts for the front end. Rear end shocks are already available.
2) Muth Signal Mirrors:
These are priced are ridiculously high prices above $200 a pair. I'm trying to get 'em for $200 installed. Wish me luck. Hope to see these on the road soon.
3) HID Plus:
I found a great mod shop that has great prices on kits. Since they're illegal, I can't share w/you the name of the mod shop or they could get fined or license taken away. I heard this kit was plug and play. Anyone have experiences with these? Any good? Have you tried other kits? Good as you expected? Leave me a note in the guestbook. Thanks.
4) Alarm w/Autostart: I've wanted this bad boy for over 6 years. When will I get it?
Update: I got it! Check out page 8 for details.
5) Exhaust Tip:
Toyota just came out with this one. It's a genuine part w/a genuine price tag of over $50. Hopefully this new one won't rust like the current one I have made by Pilot.
Credits for the pictures go to Kelly, Administrator of Rav4world.com His site has been a large part of what's made the mods so far possible. Gathering up the Rav4 owners have definitely helped with mods and problems alike. Thanks Kelly!
This is the Protix strut bar which looks very familiar to the Toyota OEM rear protection bar. Do you think it may function the same? Please leave any comments in the guestbook. Thanks.
Update: This part is available from Japan at an excess of $250 including shipping. Quite pricy for a peice of metal. This mod will have to wait. Does the OEM option rear protection bar offer the same benefits as this strut bar? They sure look alike. What'd you think? Leave a note in the guestbook if you have an opinion about this.
Another strut bar made by Protix, the overseas company in Japan that specializes in aftermarket auto parts. This particular item is installed on the inside of the car rather than the outside like the one in the above picture. Think it might get in the way of storing stuff in my car?...maybe. Know where I can get one of these Protix items shipped to the USA? Let me know, via guestbook. Thanks.
I'm trying to decide which mod to get first. Who's got an opinion? Share it in the guestbook! And rate my ride. Thanks. I'll hit you back up as soon I can.
