Specs And Restoration
Car was purchased by my father for 300 dollars at our local Toyota dealership. Some farmer guy purchased a new car and traded it in and as soon as we checked it out we knew it was going to be a fun car to fix up. Roughly 83000 KM's on the car, 1 major rust hole and it had been sitting for some time.
Specifications (guestamated) Engine 4A-C 1.6 L Carborated Inline 4 Cylinder, 5 Speed Manual Rear Wheel, hp: 114 tq: 125, Max Speed: 142 (speedometer only goes to 140 km\h) Suspension Front: Struts and Coils, Rear: Shocks and Coils
Neither my father or I had ever had much experience with restoring cars. We figured this could be a learner for future endeavors. My father has owned Toyota cars for a long time and he even had an 83 Tercel so it was fun to fix up an old school Toyota.

Both my father and I worked on this car over a period of 1 yr. The car went through a body job, several parts replaced, interior removed and cleaned, sound system installation, rear bumper rebuild paint and all around tune-up. A lot of care went into maintaining the cars "geekiness" without making it look like a fast and the furious mobile.
