Aight, this is my 89 IROC camaro, my baby. I bought her July of 2002 for 4500. Its putting out 290 hp from a 5.7 350, plus its got a 100hp shot of nos on top of that.

Well, I drove it for about a month, until i blew a head gasket and threw a rod. This is the engine before i messed it up. I had no money to fix it, so i saved all winter and now ive got about 3000 saved up. I am rebuilding the engine, getting rid of the TPI, and going carbaurated.

Well we pulled the engine today(5-10-03) and what a mess we found! We took out all the air conditioning crap, so that frees up a lot of space, and gives more power. Since we are converting to carbaurated, all the emissions and fuel injection wires are all going to be gone, this leaves so much space! You will actually be able to see the headers and valve covers!

Heres the engine now. Im puttin on a holley hi rise intake, holley 750 carb, hedman headers, comp cam, moroso valve covers and breather, msd ignition, and flowmaster dual exhaust.

why, why, why????? TPI is sooooo much better than a carb. More fuel mileage, more pedal responce, and overall better driveability. But I guess whatever floats your boat. And please no more nitrous unless you have forged steel rods, or you'll be doin this all over again
